One of the more overlooked aspects of making love is “afterplay." The Kama Sutra, India's oldest sexual guide (available in print and also on video, in truncated from), warns against ignoring the importance of the moments just after making love. This is a perfect opportunity to connect deeply, as you have both just completed a very personal connection. Contrary to popular thought, it's not necessary to talk after sex – although this can be a great time to discuss your sex life or other intimacies between you. If nothing else, close touching and holding after sex is key to rounding out the act of making love.
